Supervisor - Neurosurgical Associates (Wellness Park)
PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION
The Clinical Supervisor of the facility is responsible for maintaining daily operations at assigned facilities through on-site management. The focus of this role is to provide an excellent health care experience to the patients by providing support and daily direction to the staff, meeting the needs of the providers, continually monitoring the patient flow process and assuring the quality of the physical plan. Assists the team with assessing, planning, and evaluating care of patients in all age groups. Position reports to the Manager/Director of the assigned facility.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Duty 1: Responsible for maintaining daily operations in assigned department(s) through on-site management and participation, managing daily assignments of the staff assuring that patient and physician needs are met. Performs related duties in assisting others as needed with assignments as necessary for the smooth operation of the assigned department(s). Manage a working relationship between secretaries and nursing.
Duty 2: Accountable for the delivery and quality of care and assures delivery of safe, age specific, patient focused quality care.
Duty 3: Functions as a team member and works collaboratively and interdependently with the clinic and ambulatory areas.
Duty 4: Monitors and maintains provider’s schedules to maximize appropriate volume and acuity mix, verifies physician’s days off.
Duty 5: Assists in developing and monitoring department budget and strives to control departmental costs.
Duty 6: Assists in recruitment, selection and training of competent department associates in collaboration with the Human Resources. Establishes and evaluates ongoing department competency requirements for staff. Manages associate performance through reward and recognition, timely performance reviews, coaching, and counseling.
Duty 7: Serves as an effective leader, role model and problem solver for staff at Wellness Park and promotes an environment in which the patient care team can work cooperatively toward objectives.
Duty 8: Reviews and analyzes department indicators and use industry standards to enhance service levels, costs, and continual improvements.
Duty 9: Responsible for maintaining metrics and other departmental tracking as determined by administration.
Duty 10: Adheres to policies, procedures, rules, and regulations as they pertain to department and/or regulatory agencies.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed Registered Nurse eligible to practice in the State of Ohio
Proven ability to lead/manage people required
Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills required.

Individual must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served on his/her assigned unit/department. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient status. Must be able to interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to their age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the area’s policies and procedures

Previous office management experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires a full range of body motion with intermittent activities in walking, sitting, lifting, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting and standing. The associate will be required to lift 50 pounds or more. This position requires individuals to lift work above the Shoulder. The associate must have corrected vision and hearing in the normal range. Individual must have excellent verbal communication skills to perform daily tasks.
