Job Description

STNA SCHOLARSHIP

The purpose of this posting is to source candidates for the opportunity to receive a scholarship to attend STNA classes through Careers 4 You (D & S Training Center)with a potential opportunity to become employed at the completion of the program.  The STNA program is comprised of classroom hours and clinical hours.  The class dates will be provided through the training center.

The expectation would be that the applicant would take the STNA Exam as soon as possible following the completion of the class. 

STATE TESTED NURSING ASSISTANT (STNA)

To provide direct care and perform Nurse aide functions such as care for the personal needs and comfort of patients  in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, Bridge Personal Care Services  policy and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Successful completion of a Certified Nurse Aide class.                      

  • Available to work 12 weekend hours per month.

  • Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills required.

  • Valid driver's license and a clear driving record.

  • Individual must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to needs of the residents served on his/her neighborhood. The individual must demonstrate basic knowledge of the principles related to the aging adult and problems associated with aging. Possess the ability to collect data reflective of the resident status, under the supervision of an LPN or RN, and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each residents needs.

This position is classified at risk for possible occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens (HBV, HIV etc)
