Administrative Team Assistant (CCS- Bridge)

Bridge Home Health and Hospice Findlay, OH (Onsite) Full-Time

PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION

The Administrative Team Assistant is responsible for answering phones, greeting visitors and assisting the administrative team as needed. 

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Duty 1:  Answers phones, receives visitors and directs both to appropriate personnel.

Duty 2:  Orders all office supplies for Bridge and maintains adequate levels of clinical supplies for supply room.

Duty 3:  Processes incoming/outgoing mail, including UPS mailings.

Duty 4:  Completes daily deposit logs for billing personnel.

Duty 5:  Assists with sending out Home Health and Hospice physician’s orders as needed.

Duty 6:  Prepares and maintains Home Health, Hospice, Billing, and referral charts/packets.

Duty 7:  Generates the daily census report and saves the electronic file appropriately.

Duty 8:  Works collaboratively with the Palliative Care team to verify patient insurance eligibility.

Duty 9:  Assists with clinical team scheduling.

Duty 10:  Coordinates with members of the Department to optimize productivity.

Duty 11:  Completes electronic medical record software tasks in support of clinicians.

Duty 12:  Monitors and reviews documents in document management system and forwards to appropriate person.

Duty 13:  Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma required.
  • Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Understands and respects patients’ rights.
  • Commitment to and understanding of the philosophy, mission, and goals of the agency and standards and regulations governing it.
  • Limited exposure in regard to universal precautions.

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Home care experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires a full range of body motions with intermittent walking, lifting, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and standing. The associate will be required to walk for up to one hour a day, sit for four to six hours a day and stand for one hour a day. The individual must be able to lift twenty to fifty pounds and reach work above the shoulders. The individual must have good eye-hand coordination and fine finger dexterity for simple grasping tasks. The individual must have excellent verbal communication skills to perform daily tasks. The associate must have corrected vision and hearing in the normal range.
