Integration & Testing Architect
PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION
The Integration & Testing Architect works to manage cross-solution integration activities during the implementation and support phases of the Project. The Integration & Testing Architect works closely with the BVHS departmental/functional team leaders to ensure project design and implementation activities comply with the overall architecture plan, the BVHS's global information systems strategy, and the BVHS's patient care process.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Duty 1: Maintains a DCW/Workflow Library for all Solution Teams.
Duty 2: Provides guidelines for all levels regression testing.
Duty 3: Supports environment/domain planning and management including regression testing after code installs, domain copies, reference data domain synchs (RDDS), and activity deletes.
Duty 4: Maintains responsibility for Distribution Package analysis and installation.
Duty 5: Supports Unit, System, Integration and History Upload Testing Events with all project teams and escalates issues to the Project Manager as needed.
Duty 6: System Performance Review (working with RHO); Manage Cerner identified top CCL performance impacting scripts/ops jobs
Duty 7: Conducts regular meetings with User Group(s) to discuss Support SLAs and major issues.
Duty 8: Coordinates/Manages AMS contract; SLAs; communication (working with Cerner AMS Liaison.
Duty 9: Maintains Testing Plans/Scripts (Unit, System, IT, Regression).
Duty 10: Develops Test Plans/Policies.
Duty 11: Coordinates Testing Events (rooms, devices, resources, invites) with all project teams.
Duty 12: Escalates issues to the Project Manager as needed
Duty 13: Facilitates Change Management Team & Change Advisory Board Agendas and Meetings. Maintains the change control process.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science or equivalent
- 7 to 10+ years of experience with one to three years of senior level systems analyst-related experience
- Excellent knowledge of programming and systems analysis procedures
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively and express ideas clearly both verbally and in writing in non-technical terms for users at all levels and in technical terms for most hardware/software technicians
- Demonstrated customer relations skills and technical abilities including the ability to analyze complex software problems and develop technical or procedural solutions to those problems
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, user department personnel and software suppliers
- Thorough knowledge of information systems and their application to healthcare and ability to creatively use existing resources for problem resolution.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to focus detailed concentrated effort to multiple projects and re-establish priorities as necessary. Ability to effectively respond to time sensitive issues and meet deadlines.
- AA valid driver's license is required (if you do not have a valid Ohio driver’s license you must obtain one within 30 days of your residency in the state). You must also meet BVHS's company fleet policy and insurance company requirements, and any other requirements that may be required to operate a vehicle.
- Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills required.
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in a healthcare environment preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires a full range of body motion with intermittent walking, lifting, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting and standing. The associate will be required to walk for up to an hour a day, sit continuously for six hours a day and stand for one hour a day. The individual must be able to lift twenty pounds and reach work above the shoulders. The individual must have a good eye-hand coordination and fine finger dexterity for simple grasping tasks. The individual must have excellent verbal communication skills to perform daily tasks. The associate must have corrected vision and hearing in the normal range. The individual must be able to operate a motor vehicle for business travel and community involvement.
